Why you should run a lean business.

Your business is not like a piece of meat by which the fat provides flavor. The fat is often the waste that should be cut and discarded.

There are many strategies and approaches that have come to the forefront such as the “lean six sigma” approach in the arena of business that are worth considering when you look for new ways to improve. There is much talk by which many with strong minds for business will suggest a lean approach.

One point on this infographic I’d like to specifically emphasize is the don’t skimp on lawyers and accountants… Hmm interesting. Having a solid team assisting your with your “professional services” is always smart. Why? The IRS can create huge problems for you and your business and there are so many ways you, as a business owner, can invite them in for supper. A good relationship with a trusted CPA can protect you from mistakes, omissions and overlooks that become truly crippling for a business. Furthermore, a business can benefit tremendously from the careful analysis of your company’s financials with reports like trial balance, profit and loss etc. An accountant can also assist with your business’s financials ensuring the overall financial health.

So here are the do’s and don’t’s of running a lean business presented in my favorite way…an infographic.
