The Habits of the Wealthy

I began a new daily routine a few weeks back that has been inspiring my ideas as far as marketing the firm and improving operations. Every morning when I arrive at headquarters, I make myself a cappuccino. Priorities. I then take my coffee and sit in my newly renovated office and go on the business websites I frequent, including Forbes, Fox Business, and one of my favorites entrepreneur.com. This morning I found a great article on entrepeneurship.com that included an infographic about the habits of the wealthy versus the habits of the poor. Suffice it to say, I will be adding more changes to my daily routine. Hopefully, these additions will be habits of the wealthy.

You will note the drastic variances between the habits of the wealthy and the habits of the poor. One habit of the wealthy that really struck me was waking up three hours before work. I do realize the potential of doing this. I have found the days in which I arise from slumber early are the days I feel most accomplished. The day also feels exceptionally longer and more fulfilling. To put it simply, I get more things done. Another habit of the wealthy that really stuck out at me was reading and listening to audio books. I have been trying to read more. Especially articles and books about business. I have also been attempting to be more constructive during my commuting hours as well, whether that is writing notes about marketing ideas on the bus ride to Jiujitsu or listening to an audiobook driving in the car. A common characteristic I notice about all of these habits of the wealthy is passion and dedication. After all, I know it does require quite a bit of dedication to exercise 4 times a week. Incorporate more of these habits of the wealthy into your life and maybe one day you’ll wake up and be Oprah.
