“A dream is a wish your heart makes, when you’re fast asleep.” Right Cinderella? I still think Disney movies are the reason my generation is so strange but I won’t get into that.
A few months ago, I came to the realization that my dream was to live in South Florida and to make my living helping people grow their businesses through use of technology and smart marketing practices. Oh and also to eat a lot of tasty foods and treats. There must a bunch of guardian angels upstairs blessing us as of late because many dreams are coming true including the tasty food and treats one.
Today we make the Lavin Group of Clematis Street in West Palm Beach official. L&A has another office in South Florida! Paradise welcomes us. Wow. Not to rub it in for the New Yorkers, but it’s a brisk 80 degrees right now and I went to the beach on both Saturday and Sunday of this past weekend for a quick dip in the waves. The water was very refreshing.
Furthermore, tomorrow we decide if we will move forward with a cloud based system which is so awesome it’s not even funny. On the most basic level, our clients will be able to get their taxes done with only the use of their smartphone or tablet. No more taking time out of your busy schedules to drop off paperwork. No more time to come back to pick up and pay for your return. No more stress and worry about organizing your w2s and 1098s. No more hassle of commute and parking. No more risking your neck on the snow, sleet and ice to walk on the not-so-plowed sidewalks. Now that time can be used for enjoyment. Watch another NFL/college game instead. Go fishing instead. Have an awesome dinner with your family instead. We all know how precious time is and L&A is happy to allow some of that time back to you to use however it is you would like.
The Lavin family has certainly come a long way and its much thanks to the four troublemaker brothers whose reputation preceded them everywhere they went. 4 poor Irish kids from the South Bronx who decided to go to college and become CPAs, an attorney and a FDNY fire captain. If that’s not the American Dream, I’m not sure what is.
